The Citroen 2CV was continuously produced and continuously improved in the years 1949-1990, making it an icon of the French automotive industry. The car was designed before the war. Its creation is linked to the need to make a simple and cheap car for the masses, following the motto of the company's boss, Pierre Boulanger, "quatre roues sous un parapluie" (four wheels under an umbrella). The car was extremely simplified, economical and made it possible to comfortably transport 4 people with luggage. Named the ugliest car in the world at the Paris Salon in 1948, contrary to the opinion of the critics, it became an object of desire. In 41 years of production, almost 4 million copies have been made in factories around the world. Today this car has cult status and is a pleasure for collectors.
